Pro Blogger Mentor or Advisor Wanted!

I started this website as a newbie, learning from scratch the technical end of how to do this site with no experience or background. I have learned so much and still have so much more to learn…it’s been a welcomed experience. I had no idea what it takes to set up and develop a website…I just woke up one day and decided that this is where my future was. I have not fully developed this website you are viewing. I never even knew what a blog was let alone dealing with plugins, themes, widgets and I still don’t understand the codes one bit! I learn each time I attempt to post or change the theme (not again…if ever!)  or just put images in the side columns.

One day, I logged in to find all of the images in my two side columns that have been there for months – were no longer there or visible! So where did they go? I haven’t got a clue to this day. I’m just grateful I can log in to the admin panel and somewhat find my way around. I have all of these inactive plugins because I read somewhere that they were the cure-all, fix-all for everything I needed. Most of them only brought grief and more headaches just to figure out that they served no helpful purpose. I think I have the basic necessities in place now…maybe not!

So, I can already feel the laughter from the pros and blog masters that can sit back in a comfy chair and think all kinds of thoughts about a newbie like me! Instead of laughing at me…how about laugh with me and share some real experience with me. I’ve refused to spend a dime on any program that promises all this magic and instant success! I have taken a few free tutorial programs…jeez…that’s how I got this far.

So my challenge is to see if I can get this post out to reach someone with a sincere desire to assist a newbie that has gone as far you can see right here on my website…and find someone…yes that would be YOU!…to take a little bit of time to help me and teach me more of the basics, understanding of my host…hostgator, WordPress as my watchamacallit…my cpanel, SEO benefits and how to’s, some of this dashboard stuff that baffles me….still with me? I hope to monetize at some point as well and could use the benefit of an experienced blogger to save me hours and weeks of frustration. I have some ideas I would like to run by someone that knows their stuff…that would be you!

I can trade services; life coaching, recovery, compassion, understanding and friendship….Now the challenge is on…I know you are reading this and reluctantly thinking….”she is not talking to or about me!” Wrong…I am speaking directly to you right now. I know this and so do you…why do you think you read this far? I’m waiting to hear from you today! I’ll save you the time to go to my contact form, just email me at live-life-today@live.com Now we are really talking…thanks “Gus”…just kidding! You know and I know.

Oh, yes, my name is Kathi, just in case you didn’t get that far…my gratitude is with you already! I’d be willing to make an arrangement to pay for services after the fact…that is after I am generating an income from this website. I know you know all of the in’s and out’s and are very successfull with your site(s)already. You usually charge for your services, but you do have a loving and giving spirit and are willing to help me out a little bit…just because it feels like the right thing to do. This will be a personally rewarding experience for both of us! I’ll be checking my email shortly, I know your email will be there…thank you!

Learning More About Change…The Hard Way Again!

Do you ever wonder why it can be so difficult to learn some of the easier lessons? I find myself feeling like a fool and really dumb sometimes. Here I am learning all of this “stuff” behind the scenes to make this site function the way I dearly hope it will without beating my brains out. I attempt to learn more and more every day and at times feel like I’ve overloaded my little brain with technical “stuff”…that may or may not work or even apply to what I am doing here.

I feel like I’ve been sidetracked with the learning and it has really put a slam on the desire I initially created this site with. So I have to get humble and get real once again. I have experience and resources I want to share with you, to be of service to my fellow human being. Now where did that enthusiasm and desire go? It is right here within me, I was taking that diversion of learning and boy did I let it pull me off my own chosen path.

I get excited about learning…I go all out to be an “A” student in my endeavors. What the heck does it matter if I’m studying the wrong stuff? Didn’t have a clue what I was doing or where I was going…I can’t believe the amount of marketing bull that is out there, all the scams, the “gurus”, the “pro’s” that know it all and have the “secret” the “key” the “product”!

I’ve learned allot of good information for operating this site and still have so much to learn…I’ll learn it in due time. I’m not on a cram course here, although it sure looked and felt like it there for a while. I haven’t spent a dime on one of these bogus scams. Hey, that’s good! I spent allot of time looking, reading and wondering, but the more time I was researching, the more it became clear that everyone seems to have a gimmick or a “buy now…sucker later” plan. My Beliefs and Experiences

I believe we create our lives by the choices we make every day. Each of our lives is a culmination of all the choices we have made thus far. So if we aren’t happy with our life today or just want more out of our lives, we can surely change that by making different choices.

I personally have had many opportunities to learn new life skills on this journey in my life. My personal experience has brought me to living a sober life today, it was a rough journey to get from there to here. You need not be in recovery as I am to benefit from the experience of other’s. I am fortunate to have great teacher’s and mentor’s on my journey.

We have all faced a variety of challenges in life. I believe each challenge presents itself as a lesson for us to learn and grow from. Change is constant, it never stops, something is always changing. We have a choice in everything in our lives. This is life’s terms. How we live those terms is up to us.

My personal experience reveals that change is one of the most difficult areas for the personal growth needed to become the woman I desire to become. It is my experience that change is also the most rewarding time in life. Without change, we are stagnant, we are not experiencing any growth.

Life at its fullest is what my brother Jim termed as the “Four ‘L’s”: living, loving, learning and laughing. We sell ourselves short when we resist the necessary changes or don’t create the changes we want to see. This is not living life. This is a compromise that we need not accept for our lives. We each deserve a fulfilling life, we have the power within us to create the life we want.

We can learn to change our views and beliefs about change and change our choices for the changes we want to see in our life today. What a facinating place to be. Changes, choices, thoughts, beliefs; all things we are actually in control of, or at least how we experience them. To create the life we desire to set the terms by which we live our lives. Living our life on life’s terms is choosing the life we want and the terms we want to experience life by. That sounds a bit complicated when I put it like that. Actually it’s all simply a matter of choice.

It takes an honest and pure desire to create the changes we want in our lives. When we realize that we can change how we experience the unexpected changes and know that we can create the changes we desire for our lives…our live’s are forever changed. Change is the only constant in our lives…think about it.
